I am using version 0.7.6.2
somehow (i'm sure I did it) the visual editor is stuck on.
I use an AutoTheme and PNphpBB2 forums.
How can I disable the visual editor from causing that annoying popup from appearing whenever you click in the text box?
It does not work anyway as I do not want HTML in posts.
I would like to disable it completely so I never see it again.
Thanks.

first of all you should upgrade to the latest stable build due to security reasons and bugfixes

do you want to disbale the editor completly or only for specific modules? the first can be achieved via simply disabling the editor in administation-modules, the second can be done via permission system

Ok well the install was done via my host and this version is what they installed, I intend to update soon.
I have gone to modules and inactivated the Type Tool, however the pop up remains.
I have even removed Type Toll with no result.
What I think happened is when I installed (Host is Midphase and I installed thru their Fantastico tool)
I chose to allow WYSWIG editing.
This seems to be what is causing the popup for the Visual Editor.
Site is at http:www.bixies.com/damage
I have fussed with code in past installs of PostNuke and have fixed this in the past, I just forget how I did it.
a search here provided no real answer.
Thank you for the speedy reply and any help you are able to provide.

It has been a while since I have use AT, but I believe there is a compile directory delete the files in that...
Check out Scribite as an alternate wysiwyg as it has module control built in..

dont really need a wysiwyg editor at all, BB2 is more than enough for posters
but when they go to post now they get the annoying popup that does not work.
I just want to disable it :(

I ended up just deleting the typetool from my modules folder on the server, not what I wanted to do really but worked.
I can always reload it from a backup should I want to play with permissions or use another of the above listed wysiwyg editors. Thanks for the suggestions :D
