I was trying to clean out my Xanthia cache via. ftp when I discovered some files I could not delete.
Here are some file names, do they sound like "real" filenames that xanthia would have generated?
    21DEDE%%master.htm
    21DEDE%%master.htm
21DEDE%%master.htm (yes these are three different files with the same name..)
    master.htm
    Members_List^VinciXTE^eng^%2Findex.phpmodule%3DMembers_List%26op%3Dmodload%26startnum%3D301^VinciXTEeng^%%13^132^1321DEDE%%
    Members_List^VinciXTE^eng^%2Fmodules.phpmodule%3DMembers_List%26letter%3DB^VinciXTEeng^%%13^132^1321DEDE%%master.htm
    tRSSNews^VinciXTE^eng^%2Findex.phpmodule%3DtRSSNews%26func%3Dview%26option%3Darticle%26artid%3D1828^VinciXTEeng^%%13^132^13

If they are Xanthia generated files why can't I delete them. The program is running with my user permissions, but it seems to have differant permissions than other folders files...

    Thanks for your help.

Are you the file owner? For example, if a file is created as root, than user X may not be able to delete or modify a file...

Try deleting them via the Xanthia admin panel (delete templates, delete cache). If no success there, the only solution I have found to this is to write a small script that deletes the files with PHP via the unlink() function.

Yes, I am the file owner, at least I should be if it was generated by PostNuke...
I have always been able to delete files in this folder before with no problems..

you can try to remove those files via a PHP filemanager like e.g. http://phpfm.sourceforge.net/
