hi,
i have made some changes in news and its related modules .
as i see , by default it is possible to only send text news, i mean you can't put only a URL for a news which by clicking on news title,the user redirected to another site.
may be someone has been work around this issue,but i don't know if it is published or not.
by the way,how can i put it and its documentation for other users? -

SOmething like that can be aesily done with RSS module - so why modifying News??

I have a module called ShortNews in my downloads on my site which does this. I had updated it for .750 but I think it should still work on .764. It displays a summary and clicking on the title takes you to that site.
