I may be posting this in the wrong place, but I couldn't find a better place to post it. I'm trying to upgrade from .8 RC1 to .8 RC2 and not having very good luck with it. Does anyone know of a doc that outlines how to do as such?

it should work like every other update:
1. Backup files and DB
2. Delete all core files but the config
3. upload new files
4. run upgrade.php

What went wrong?

What went wrong?

Well, it worked, but there were several SQL errors decorating the screen. I should have copied and pasted them, but I did not. I will attempt the upgrade again this evening, and paste any errors here.

And you have to install/reinstall the categories module IIRC.

I guess that to upgrade the RC1 to the RC2, you just need to copy the new files (RC2 package) and goto the Modules Admin Panel, regenerate the list and upgrade the ones that has new versions...

From RC2 to RC3 you'll need to upgrade the Categories module, and may be look how works the Value Addons with the new multi-categorization.

So, I was finally able to get this to work. To do so, I had to run the upgrade.php, *then* run the regular install...

Only run the upgrade script and not the install script.
