can you check if 'Anonymous' is member of the 'Users' group (and therefore the perms for unregistered users are screwed up)?

I don't have an Anonymous. Don't remember anything about Anonymous. Don't even see Anonymous. That isn't a problem is it??
Oh yeah. If you guys haven't guessed already I am a real novice at this. For the most part I have usually been able to figure this stuff out but on this one I am really stummped.........

I justed helped someone out who had there permissions messed up by an individual user policy. Please check to make sure you do not have any user policies in place.

How do you set or remove user permissions ?? I can only see group permissions.

That is normal. User permissions are no longer available in Zikula.
Make a new group and an User to that group.
Edit: oops, now I see this in 0.7.x support... are you using PostNuke or Zikula?

Make a new group and an User to that group.
Edit: oops, now I see this in 0.7.x support... are you using PostNuke or Zikula?

I have done that even though I an not using zikula yet. As soon as I sort this I intend to upgrade. But its not much point until I can get the basics working.

I have just got phpMyAdmin to work but not yet sure how to get the details requested by the mods yet.

Yep found it... had nothing to do with permissions per sé...
In block main menu I found
Collapsible Yes
Default state for block default state 'collapsed'...
you theme didn't have the 'drop down' box/button... or whatever it's called... so it was there, and then not...
I've changed it to ... Collapsible "NO" Default "Expanded"....
This one I have to remember!
