    Hi,

I think, there's one important module missing - it's a tags module. Tags are very popular on many websites and they are the easiest way how to show related content of the website. Best of all is that tags could be use nearly with all content creating modules - news, blogs, pictures, videos and many more, so I think this module should be a part of core.

What do you guys think about it?

Surely, it can be a handy module and probably should be developed -but not as a core module, but rather a Value Addon. Tags definitely are not needed as a core function.

That said, Pagesetter has tag block...

    Hey!
Recently a discussion in the module-devs mailing-list touch this topic, because some devs thinks that the categories module should support Tags, and others not...

So, the conclusion was that Simon's (aka Hammerhead) Tagging module have to be reviewed, because he already have a solution for this matter, but needs some final work to be public... and that the Categories module will be used for the site defined categorization, and the Tagging module should support the "user/social side" categorization...

Martin: about show related content in the site, i have in my plans to include a Hook functionality for the News module, and be able to relate Articles with any content (and articles itself). Also, a block can be developed to show a "Categories cloud" with sizes depending the articles inside each one... so, currently is possible to have related content, but that block can be great too.

Check the latest SVN to see some changes in the Value Addons UI and Multicategorization support icon_wink Enjoy!

ammodump - hmmm, maybe as a value addon...
charlie-otb - you need to have installed 2 more modules, that's not exactly what I want, but thanks anyway.
mateo - great news, I'll check the SVN. Thanks for the info! icon_smile

No, Mateo, was saying that you could easily build a Category Cloud, as the ground work is layed throughout the Value Addons (new revisions of the legacy modules).
