Would it be possible to know when it is expected to exit the stable version .8

    Thanks, Alverman

We are currently struggling with the session handling and the login. There was a thread about this in the forum and Jørn investigated the problem in deep and came to a working solution. Now it has to be fitted into all the variables like setable levels of security, anonymous session on/off ASO. When this is done we decided to release another RC - The changes are too central to release a final version without the session handling being tested. I hope you understand that this postpones the final release by about a month.

Although we're all very keen to start using .8 this sounds like a wise decision!

Generally going from the final RC to the release version should contain as few bug fixes as possible. In an ideal world the final RC would become the released version without change.

As Steffen has indicated there have been several release blocking bugs fixed (and a couple more still to fix) so it's prudent that a further release candidate is issued.

At the end of the day it's open source so there is no timescales - no shareholders to please, no marketing campaigns to tie in with etc. - so a final release will happen when we agreed that it's ready. In the mean time continue testing and reporting bugs.

I have absolutely no claim but only a mere curiosity.
Thank you at all for your work and support.
