I am currently learning PN and playing with it at a subdomain of my site. Once I figure it all out and get it set up the way I like it, I think it would be easier to move it rather than re-install it. Would it be possible to copy all of the PN files to the other location without any errors, or would I have to reinstall the whole thing?

I used the search button and searched for the terms "move" and "PostNuke" and I came up with a bunch of posts where people have asked the same question you are asking. Here is one of them: http://forums.postnuke.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=5641&highlight=move+PostNuke

i have searched the forums and read a great deal about changing web hosting providers, moving servers, and relocating MySQL databases. I understand what needs to be done under these conditions. Will I have to do the same to move to a new directory within my own website if I'm keeping the same MySQL database and none of that information is changing or moving?

you've probably found the answer to your question since it is amonth since your reply, but you should be ok just downloading your current PostNuke installation and then uploading it to the right directory since all paths are relative to PN root.
