    hi

    i have the following problem: when i am logged in as an admin, everything is fine. whenm im not logged in at all, everything is fine again.
    but when i am logged in as a normal user, the only thing i can see is the page's header and footer, but not the site itself. i have tried changing whats in the middle part but nothing happened.
    could someone tell me what to do? :?:

    Hi, wyco,

    I'm having the exact same problem.

    Could you be so kind as to grant the boon you asked, and post the answer here? I would be very grateful.

    Thanks.

    the best thing i can think is that you install another PN so that you can compare the default permission
    *cough* That is what i did icon_redface icon_redface icon_redface

    The causes of these kind of problems is usually a combination of permissions and group settings.

    By default PN ships with two groups admin and users. If you change the name of the users group then you need to update the permissions to reflect this change of group name.

    You also need to change the default start group for a user under administration->settings.

    Failiure to do both of these will result in user falling through the permissions system with no rights to the content.

    These earlier threads cover this issue

    im sorry guys this is hungarian but i'll translate it. these are the current settings which do work (!)

    Admins .* .* Adminisztrátor
    Users .* .* Olvasás
    Minden csoport Menublock:: Fömenü:Adminisztrálás: Nincs jogosultság
    Nem regisztrált Menublock:: Fömenü:(Saját beállítások|Kilépés|Hír beküldése): Nincs jogosultság
    Nem regisztrált Polls:: .* Hozzászólás
    Nem regisztrált .* .* Olvasás

    so...
    Minden csoport = all groups
    Nem regisztrált = not registered
    Olvasás=read
    Nincs jogosultság = does not have permission
    Fömenü=main menu

    and i think the others dont matter becasue they relate to the news and polls and such.

    this might be the important line

    Users .* .* Olvasás
    Users .* .* Read
